Connect Framer (beta)

Publish your articles to the blog collection of your Framer project.

Connect your Framer project so your SEO posts are saved to its blog collection.

The Framer connection is in beta, because Framer's API is new. Adorea only publishes if your project has no other work-in-progress changes. If it does, Adorea leaves the article ready in the CMS and you publish it from Framer.

Before you start

  • Your project needs a CMS collection for the blog.
  • The API key gives access to the whole project. If you stop using Adorea, delete it in Framer.
  • Only the owner or an admin of the organization can connect the website.

Create the API key in Framer

  1. In Framer, open your project and copy its address from the browser bar. It starts with https://framer.com/projects/.
  2. Open Site Settings → General and scroll down to API Keys.
  3. Create an API key named "Adorea" and copy it.

Connect in Adorea

  1. Go to My brand → Connections and find the Framer card.
  2. Paste the Project address and the API key, and click Check and connect.
  3. Choose the Blog collection.
  4. Check which field gets each part of the article. Adorea suggests a mapping based on your collection and flags any unclear fields. The article's URL is created from its title.
  5. Under When publishing, choose whether it goes live on the site (if you have no other pending changes) or stays as a draft in Framer.
  6. Click Save and connect.

If the collection has no detail page on your site, articles are saved in the CMS but won't have their own page until you create it in Framer.

If you disconnect Framer, the articles already published stay on your website. To make the API key stop working, delete it in Framer too (Site Settings → General → API Keys).
